For the perfect Guys getaway:

Fairfield Glade is never short of activities that are perfect for any guy’s getaway. Enjoy a few rounds of golf on one of the five championship golf courses located in Fairfield Glade, with 90 holes of golf.  Despite that all five courses are located in nearly the same geographical location, the differences in their scenery are astounding. The most well-known and popular golf course is Stonehenge.

The course gets its name from the natural rock outcroppings found throughout the par 72 design, including on the signature par 3, 14th hole.  The course features bent grass tees, greens and fairways for prime playing conditions.  If you prefer mountain vista views, try out Druid Hills located on the highest point in Fairfield Glade. Try your luck at Heatherhurst, with its challenging hole 4, considered by some as the most difficult par 5 in Tennessee. Also, check out Dorchester and OTHER GOLF COURSES.

Looking for a place to bring the boat and the boys for a fishing getaway? Look no further than Fairfield Glade, with 11, spring fed, pristine lakes for boating and fishing. There are two full service marinas located on St. George and Dartmoor with boat rentals, so even if you don’t have your own boat, you and the guys can still enjoy a relaxing fishing trip.

For the perfect Girls getaway:

Sample some fabulous wine with your best girlfriends in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. Venture along the Upper Cumberland Wine Trail and find a wine that is sure to suit everyone’s taste.

Visit Tennessee’s oldest winery, Highland Manor Winery, located in Jamestown, TN.  Make sure to check out the many medals that adorn the walls of the tasting room and throughout the winery.  Try some of their award winning wine as well as their non-vintage White Table wine, which has been named by wine critic Coleman Andrews as “one of the top finds in the country.”  The Winery is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, click here.

Take a free tour of the DelMonaco Winery and Vineyards and taste the two new additions to its wine list brought to the public in conjunction with Tennessee Technological University (TTU). Dulce Nectar Morado (Sweet Purple Nectar) and Espiritu de Oro (Golden Spirit) were inspired by the school’s colors, purple and gold, and were created with the help of students who volunteered their time harvesting and planting the new vineyard.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Dulce Nectar Morado and Espiritu de Oro will go to support TTU.  The winery is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, click here.

Make sure to check out the other wineries on the Upper Cumberland Wine Trail like: Holly Ridge Winery and Vineyard, Red Barn Winery and Vineyard, Chestnut Hill Winery and Stonehaus Winery.

Take in some of the beautiful scenery the area has to offer with a horseback ride though the Cumberland Plateau with Wildwood Stables. Choose between two rides, the first, a short ride that lasts just under an hour where the second is a longer, more advanced ride, lasting an hour and a half. Take a hay(less) ride through the fields and meet the horses up close. Pack a picnic to enjoy after the ride and even cook your hotdogs over an open fire!
